Our Mission

Lede New Orleans equips creative professionals from underrepresented communities, age 18-25, with skills, tools and resources to transform local media.

 
 

We’re working toward a future where local media reflects the community it serves.

That’s simply not the case right now in New Orleans and in many American cities. We work to challenge the narrative about who gets to tell stories about New Orleans, guided by the belief that all individuals should have access to the knowledge, skills and network to share information and drive change in their community regardless race, ethnicity or socioeconomic status.
